Hope Broussard Lamb.
It is with sheer delight that I can finally announce that I have succeeded in the greatest accomplishment of my life. I left Junction, Texas permanently. Those that knew me well, know I enjoyed things on a grand scale. In typical Hope fashion I was flown by helicopter on October 24th from Junction to San Angelo for a brief stay. During the flight the pilot taught me a few quick lessons on how to ascend into the sky. This was one of the last lessons I had to learn in preparation to leave this earthly planet and claim my mansion in the heavens. I made the journey successfully on December 9, 2020 from Lubbock, Texas where I was in my final stages of planning my exit getaway. I am sure there are few of you that had your doubts on whether I would ever get to heaven knowing I could go from classy lady, to cursing like a sailor and bring out the Cajun Queen, Marie Laveau, in less than three seconds if you were so privy to my inner being. I had a great life and enjoyed all the precious moments that so many of you brought into my days and nights. I thank all of you for being a part of my journey.
I leave with you all, my pride and joy, my son, David Lamarr Lamb, of Lubbock, Texas. He is the best thing I ever had part in creating, but I do take ALL the credit. My two grandchildren, Camden Kohl and Shonta M’Lai, niece, Shawna Shook, and nephew, Lance Shook, sister-in-law Sandra Phillips, brother-in-law, Johnny Lackey and nephew, Rex Lackey and sister, Susan Shook Martin, and my best beloved friend till the end Pam Loree.
I was preceded in the afterlife by my parents, Robert George Broussard, and Naomi Comeaux Shook and brother Tommy Shook. Until we meet again, I will be either sitting on the bank of a river fishing and drinking champagne or Jim Beam. Perhaps dancing with my former husbands waiting for the rest of you to join me. Oh, and one last thing to The Junction Eagle, you can cancel my subscription and refund what is left to my son, Lamarr. I have always been frugal, and I want every cent owed me to go to him.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 15 at 11:00am through 1:00 pm with funeral immediately following at Kimble Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of the professionals at Kimble Funeral Home. (325) 446-3076
