Wanda was born June 15, 1941, and grew up in Loraine, Texas. Wanda was a great athlete and fierce competitor as well. There have been many moments in her life that have shaped us all. She married Ray Bynum in 1965. She was mom to Todd, Paul, John, Shannon, and Missy. Then she got her favorite job which was Grannie to so many wonderful grandkids and even one great-grandchild, Mia Faye, who carries Wanda’s middle name.
Beloved memories are best told in stories, not on paper because each person who knew her have their own memories they hold dear to their heart.
To know Wanda was to love her. She walked with class, grace and dignity in all that she did. She possessed a strong faith in Christ that was unwavering. This incredible woman was full of love, understanding, forgiveness and a fighter for her kids and grandkids. She truly lived a wonderful life and showed us all what it means to love with a whole heart.
Wanda is preceded in death by her son, Paul Bynum; parents, Marlin and Ruth Moore; and brother, Stanley Andrew Moore.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Bynum; children, Todd Bynum, John Bynum, Shannon Bynum; daughter, Melissa Dawn Mendez; and her favorite group, the grandkids whom she adored and loved so much, Erin, Victoria, Brandt, Gabriella, Lauren, Alexandria, Javier Jr., and Esperanza and great-grandchild, Mia Faye. She also loved her Jennifer, Javier, and Alonzo who are also part of her family through marriage.
Mom loved bright flowers and cards so if you’d like to send a card of your favorite memory, that would be great. Do an act of kindness and pay it forward for Wanda Faye - she would deeply love that! Be Kind for Wanda – make someone feel special and she’ll know it was you.
