Tom Hollis

Tom N. Hollis, 80, of Junction, TX entered into rest on January 20, 2015 at his residence in Junction. He was born December 29, 1934 in Marathon, TX to Walter and Viola (Petit) Hollis.

He married Eva Jo Kinard on October 5, 1957, and they became residents of Junction in 1980. Tom was a hard worker, a skilled carpenter who built his own home, and owned a salvage business. He is described by his children as the original man of steel for having the strength of many men, and also a joker. Tom always put others before himself and would give anybody the shirt off his back. Tom was an excellent husband, father, grandfather, friend and mentor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Jerry Hollis McKenzie and Betty Lou Bowen; brother, Walter Bill Hollis; and granddaughter, Jody Ogin Rose.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife of 57 years, Eva Jo Kinard Hollis; 5 children, Mary Jane & Chris Chavez of Albuquerque, Linda and Darren Jeffrey of Harper, Tommy Hollis of Junction, Brenda and Arthur Wallace of Junction, Patricia and Andrew Dalton of Junction, 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and brother, Bobby Jack Hollis and wife Patsy of Huntsville.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Gentry Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-7:00 PM, Friday, January 23, 2015 at Kimble Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Hoven Riley, Raymond Menchaca, Arthur Wallace, Andrew Dalton, Thomas Zuckvich, and Vinnie Perez.
