Thomas Sissel

On December 9, 1924 an earthly journey was begun by Tom Sissel. He was born to Thomas M. and Daisy P. Sissel. Tom joined two brothers, C.P. and Shirley and a few years later a sister, Martha was added to the mix.

This band of Gods warriors went on exploits to various locations in Texas. While living in San Angelo, Texas several additions were added to this group. C.P. married Marie, Shirley married Jackie, Martha married John and Tom married the love of his life, Lou.

Tom and Lou added two children, Johnny and Vonnie, to this band of warriors. Then Johnny recruited Sharon to be his wife and they added two sons, Tommy and T.R. while Vonnie added Jim and their son Tommy to the band. Many exploits were undertaken by Tom and Lou during their years together.

As in all journeys and exploits, many warriors are rewarded by relocating to their new assignment in heaven. On May 30, 2014, Tom walked with his Lord into his heavenly reward. The remaining band of Johnny, Sharon, Vonnie, Tommy and T.R. are joined by many family members, including a sister, sisterinlaws, and a full battalion of grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, greatgreatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews and everyone that he encountered on his earthly assignment will all miss his smile, warm hugs, wit and strength as a patriarch. Toms last wishes for all that remain on their earthly assignments are to draw strength, keep walking and never quit growing with Jesus. One day we will all be reunited with Tom where his journey began and is continuingwith his Lord. His last words to most people were always, Thank you and Love you.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Junction. Interment will follow in Junction City Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the donors favorite charity.
