Thomas Bishop

JUNCTION Thomas Felan Bishop, 86, of Junction, Texas passed from this life on June 22, 2013 at his residence.

Thomas was born July 3, 1926 in Helena, Texas to George W. and Bessie Belle Nelson Bishop. In 1929, the family moved to London and Thomas graduated from Junction High School. He married Bonnie N. Andrews on September 17, 1949 in Junction, Texas. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1949 to 1953. He was employed with Handy Andy Markets in San Antonio and Corpus Christi for 14 years and then owned and operated a service station in Corpus Christi which entailed all types of auto repair. He was a member of the Civitan Club of Corpus Christi and McAllen. Upon retirement, in 1983 he returned to Junction. Thomas was of the Baptist faith and attended various churches over the years including London Baptist in the 1930s.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include, his wife, Bonnie Andrews Bishop brother, Clifton Bishop of San Antonio seven children, Dr. Robert F. Bishop of Harlingen Myra Swope of Jupiter, FL, Beth Dickson of Brandon, FL, Jannis Hansen of Junction, Thomas V. Bishop of Houston, Kathy Boone of Junction, and Terry Bishop of Houston nineteen grandchildren twentynine greatgrandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held 11:00AM, Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the Kimble Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Robert F. Bishop officiating. Interment will follow in Junction City Cemetery. ation will be held 68:00, Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Kimble Funeral Home.
