JUNCTION Roy Vernon Moore, born November 30, 1933 to Charles and Edith Moore in Vinegrove, Kentucky, passed away May 22, 2014 at age of 80. He was raised in Oklahoma, before making his home in Junction after retirement.

Vernon served 2 years in the Army in Alaska and was supposed to be shipped to Korea, but the Korean War ended. He worked in several jobs before settling with the City of Frederick, Oklahoma until retirement.

Vernon was a people person who loved life and loved joking with everyone. He worked several years at Super S where he thoroughly enjoyed being around so many people. He went by the name Old Man which by request was on his name tag. He made several friends, even with the outoftowners during hunting season who always looked for him the following year.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a niece.

He is survived by his wife, Betty of 45 years daughters, Valarie Ramirez and husband Roger, and Laura Mitchell five grandchildren eight greatgrandchildren sisters, Jo Evelyn Hughes and husband Galen, Wanda Britton and husband Ronnie and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by two daughters from his first marriage, Gail Hamel and Carla Morrow, 4 grandchildren and 1 greatgrandchild.

He will be greatly missed by all. We love you.

Memorial services will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ken Bolton officiating.
