Rojelio Menchaca, of Austin, formerly of Junction, passed away from this life at the age of 83, on December 9, 2017 at home after battling a long illness, which he courageously fought. He died peacefully at home.

Rojelio was born August 16, 1934 in Junction, Texas to Felix and Luisa Menchaca. His family was his top priority supporting his daughters in all their endeavors.

Rojelio was preceded in death by wife, Juanita, his parents, and brother, Conrado Menchaca.

He is survived by his daughters, Sylvia, Yvette, and Teresa Menchaca; and grandchildren, Kristiana and James Menchaca. Those also left to honor his memory include his siblings, Bacilia Castillo, Olga Maldonado, Oscar Menchaca, and Hector Menchaca of Junction.
Rojelio will be missed by all of his nieces, grandnieces, nephews, grandnephews, other relatives, and friends.

Pallbearers will be his nephews: Rudy Castillo, Vigil Maldonado, Mark Castillo, Chris Castillo, Conrado Menchaca, Jr., Derek Menchaca, Sergio Menchaca, Dario Menchaca, Matt Menchaca, and grandnephew Jordan Perez. Honorary pallbearers will be Edward Castillo and Ricky De Los Santos.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at St. Theresa's Catholic Church with Father Mamachan Joseph as Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Junction City Cemetery. Following services the family invites you to join them at St. Theresa's Catholic Church Hall for a reception celebrating Rojelio's life.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary: 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 11, 2017, at Kimble Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or National Kidney Foundation.
