Rodger Dell Carlile, Age 77, went peacefully from his home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 8, 2018 and was surrounded by his loving family.
He was born May 22, 1941 to Francis and Marjorie Smith Carlile. At age 8, Marjorie married John Liverman and Rodger was blessed with a loving father.
Rodger loved the Lord and was a member of First Baptist Church of Junction. As a young man, he was employed by Liverman's Grocery and became a well-trained butcher there. His law enforcement career involved various county and state agencies, including Bell, Travis and Real County sheriff's offices. He served with the Texas DPS under Governor John Connally and was a Texas Game Warden. His final service in law enforcement was with Texas Department of Corrections. Rodger was a certified pilot and flight instructor and was a radio-controlled airplane enthusiast.

Rodger married Billie Riley on July 13, 1973 and they enjoyed 45 wonderful years together. He was preceded in death by all three of his parents and his brother, Johnny Liverman.

Rodger is survived by his wife, Billie, his sons, Rodger A. Carlile, James(Susan) Carlile, Kyle (Jennifer) Carlile, his sister, Donna (Keith) Simpson and brother and sister-in-laws Wiley & Liz Davis and Terry & Wanda Riley, his grandchildren, Crissy, Melissa, Haden, Takoda, Tyler, John, Mikah, Mason Boyd, Makenlee, Mason and his great grandchildren, Gary & Skylar and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rodger's family extends deep gratitude for his care to Preferred Home Health, Dr. Martinez and Peterson Hospice.

A private memorial and celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions in Rodger's name may be made to Peterson Hospice or to the charity of choice.
