Ramona Escandon

Ramona Erives Escandon, 95, of Junction, Texas passed from this life on October 13, 2017 at her residence in Junction, Texas.

Ramona was born March 3, 1922 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Miguel Erives and Ignacio Lopez. She married Ramon Escandon in Madera, Chihuahua, Mexico. Ramona was a very loveable mother and grandmother who raised five children on her own due to losing her husband at an early age. She was a hard worker who served as a midwife in Mexico. She had a ranch where she raised animals as well. Then she came to the United States to help her kids raise their kids, her grandchildren. She made residence in Huntington Park, California then moved to Junction, Texas. She enjoyed family time, loved to make jokes, and most importantly she was the rock of our family.

Ramona was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, Maria Dolores Escandon and Conception Mendez.

She is survived by daughter, Artemisa Lozano; daughter, Ignacia Arroyos; son, Manuel Escandon and wife Estela; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel with Fidel Sepeda officiating.
