Rachel Bruns

Rachel Lorene Gifford Bruns, 88. went to be with the Lord Thursday, 24 March, 2011 at Hill Country Care Center in Junction, Texas. Lorene was born January 27, 1923 in Eden, Concho County, Texas to Thomas Anthon and Maude Elizabeth Gifford. She was the 3rd of seven children. She married Waldemar S. Jim Bruns on July 10,1946 in Fort Stockton, Texas.
Mrs. Bruns was a member of Junction Full Gospel Church and Eastern Star. Lorene graduated from Junction High School in 1941. She was a ranch wife in Roosevelt, and worked for JISD at the time she retired.
Lorene was preceded in death by her husband Jim, her parents, and all of her siblings Louise Dodd, Hazel Garner, Sue Murray, Tomy, Dale, and Chuck Gifford. She is survived by special friends Preston, Vera and Ruby Joy sisterinlaws Eva Gifford, Hilda Gifford and Betty Nelson and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Graveside services will be Saturday March 26, at Junction City Cemetery with Rev. Donna Carroll officiating.
