Mavis Ann "Pogie" Daharsh fell asleep in death peacefully in the Kimble Hospital on September 7th in Junction, Texas at the age of 94. Now she waits for Christ to call "Wake up".

Mavis is survived by her children, Sue Smith, Edwina Sparks and husband E.T., Sherry Rogers and husband Jim, Larry Daharsh and wife Elizabeth, and Mark Daharsh and wife Elizabeth Ann; sisters, Dorothy Chancey and husband Tom of Baytown, Texas, and Adell Lane and husband Bob of Weatherford. She is preceded in death by husband Ed Daharsh, daughter Joann Wright, and sons John Paul Basham and Timothy Daharsh.

Mavis had 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren and many dearly loved nieces and nephews.

Mavis was born on April 3rd, 1921 in Mineral Wells, Texas to William and Ollie Pittman. After moving to Junction in the 1940's she met and married Ed Daharsh. Her children remember her as a gentle and loving mother who was always there when they needed her.

Mavis was a dedicated Christian witness of Jehovah who loved to share her faith with others.

Visitation is from 6-8:00pm, Friday, September 11, 2015 at Kimble Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held 11:30 am Saturday, September 12th at Junction City Cemetery, Fidel Sepeda will officiate the ceremony.

Pallbearers will be Brian Smith, Brett Smith, Dalton Sparks, Caleb Daharsh, Ricky Wright, and E.T. Sparks.

All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mavis's life. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, & staff at Kimble Hospital for their loving care they showed for Mavis in her last week.
