Marsha Gaye McLendon, 76, of Junction born on September 15, 1949, in San Antonio, Texas, passed away on October 6, 2025 at Kimble Hospital after a brief illness. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.
Marsha attended Junction schools graduating the class of 1967, she was an excellent basketball player and twirler. Marsha was one of the first three women to hold an HVAC license in the state of Texas and owned successful businesses in Canyon Lake and Wimberly. She later worked at the Kimble Hospital and Cowboy Cottage. Marsha was a huge fan of the Cowboys, Longhorns and Spurs. She had a love of all animals, birds, her pets, and especially horses. She began life growing up on the S. Llano River and no matter where life took her, she always returned to her river home. She also was a cherished member of the First Methodist Church of Junction.
Throughout her life, Marsha demonstrated unwavering dedication to her family. She is survived by her son, Robert E. Marion and his wife Stephanie; her daughter, Heather M. Reiner and her husband Robert; as well as five grandchildren who called her "Nineh": Robert Todd Marion, Emily R. Reiner, Courtney A. Reiner, H. Michael Reiner, Max Marion, Violet Udall, David Udall, Britney Udall, and Aubrey Udall. Marsha was also a proud great-grandmother to Clay and Creed; Additionally, she leaves behind her sister, Monna Etheredge.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Tempie McLendon Reynolds; father, Edgar Mitchell McLendon; step-father, Fred Reynolds; and brother, Mitchell McLendon.
A visitation honoring Marsha's life will be held on October 9, 2025, from 5-7:00 PM at Kimble Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held, October 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the First Methodist Church, Junction; with interment to follow at Junction City Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the First Methodist Church of Junction.
