Margaret Burt Gaver, 89, journeyed into a glorious Heavenly Home on Tuesday afternoon, May 15, in the Hill Country Memorial Hospital in Fredericksburg following an illness. She was born October 7, 1928, to John Matt Burt, Jr. and Bessie Lee Allsup Burt in the Kimble County home of her maternal grandparents, Andrew and Margaret Vest Allsup.

Margaret, who lived her entire life in Kimble County and graduated from Junction High School, married Edgar R. Gaver on January 29, 1955. He preceded her in death January 3, 2007. Other loved ones who predeceased her were an infant daughter, Margaret Elizabeth Gaver, as well as the parents and three brothers - Andrew Matt Burt, Fane Lee Burt, and Britton A. Burt.
Survivors left behind to mourn her passing include her sister, Frederica Wyatt, and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as a host of friends.
Margaret was a member of the Church of Christ, as well as being active in the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the Republic of Texas. Business and Professional Women's Club, Edwards Plateau Historical Association, and Order of Confederate Rose. She was a Member Emeritus of Kimble County Historical Commission and served as Memorials Chairman. Most recently, she volunteered to assist the local American Legion Post. She was retired from employment in local insurance agencies.
Services will be conducted by James Murphy of San Angelo and Charles Hagood of Junction. Soloist will be Sheree Kaspar of Kingsland, with accompanist Jay Carpenter of Junction.

Funeral services will be Saturday morning, May 19, at 10:00 o'clock in Kimble Funeral Home in Junction with burial in the Junction Cemetery beside her loved ones.

Pallbearers include Harvey C. Allsup, Steve Brown, Greer Kothmann, Philip Leach, John McDonald, David Teel, Jr., Bill Thedford, and Ward Whitworth
The family will receive friends at Kimble County Historical Museum after the funeral.

In lieu of flowers, voluntary contributions may be given to Kimble County Historical Museum, P. O. Box 271, Junction, Texas 76849.

Her family is deeply grateful to caring friends, relatives, and her medical team for their invaluable and endearing support during this grieving transition.

Beloved sister and aunt, our grief can only be appeased by the knowledge we are relinquishing you to a Supreme Being, a Living God who knoweth best.
