Lisa Mary Wilcox

Lisa Cook Wilcox 60, of Junction, TX gained her heavenly wings on Sunday, April 10, 2022 after a long battle with ALS.

Lisa was born on August 23, 1961 in Athens, New York, to Walter and Mary Cook.  She moved to Junction in 2008 after marrying her friend and soulmate, Brian Wilcox.  Lisa loved and gave so much to her community.  She worked at Dollar General for 7 years and adored her customers.  She volunteered at the mow thrift store and enjoyed doing so.  She loved this community, and the people especially her church home, Junction’s First Baptist Church. Nothing gave her greater joy than to play the organ, piano and sing in church. Even on her darkest days she had a smile that could light up and entire room.

Lisa did not loose her battle with ALS because ALS did not win!  No, it was God who called her home and ALS was just the avenue of getting her there.  Lisa finished her race, she won!  Her victory was in Christ.  She is now with Him, free, healed and perfectly whole.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of 14 years, Brian Wilcox of Junction, TX; son Joseph Brady of San Angelo, TX; daughter Ashley Brady of Abilene, TX; daughter Victoria Currie of Fayetteville, NC and three grandchildren along with a multitude of friends.

A visitation will be held from 5-7PM on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Kimble Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Junction’s First Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Myers officiating the service.
