Leah Brooks

Junction Leah Louise Lee Brooks, 91, of Junction, TX and formerly of San Angelo, TX passed from this life on Monday, March 28, 2011 at a local care facility.

Mrs. Brooks was born in San Angelo, TX to the late Everett Carr and Gladys Waggoner Lee of San Angelo. She was a lifelong resident of San Angelo until 4 years ago when she relocated to Junction. Leah loved her family, her church family, and her sports.

Having met the love of her life, she married the late Charles Henry Brooks on August 10, 1941 in the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Lee. She had a great love for her family as well as her church family and was a member of the Johnson Street Church of Christ in San Angelo, TX.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her daughter, Janie Boykin and husband Raymon of Vernon, son, Dr. Larry Brooks and wife Diana of Junction, and son, Lynn Brooks of San Angelo 7 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren, Mark and Sandra Boykin and son, Brice, Randy Boykin, Shelley Boykin, Bud Brooks, Craig and Jill Brooks and daughters Caitlyn and Madilyn, Cole and Katy Brooks and daughter Lillian, and Colby Brooks. She is also survived by her sisterinlaw, Pat Lee, a niece, Kathy Lee Witcher, and a host of many loving neighbors, lifelong friends, and her church family.

Graveside Services will be held at Lawn Haven Cemetery in San Angelo, TX at 2 PM, Wednesday, March 30, 2011.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in honor to a charity of choice.
