Obituary

Karon Janell Morgan, 79, of Junction, Texas, passed away on March 31, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Born on November 3, 1946, in Brady, Texas, Karon “Gran” Morgan was the beloved daughter of Scrap O. E. and Helen Morgan. She spent her life dedicated to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

Karon is survived by her children, Debbie McDonald and her husband, Michael, and Ted Morgan and his wife, Georgia; grandchildren, Christa Morgan, Chelsi Warden, Chad Morgan, Virginia Bronts, and Kain Hernandez; great-grandchildren, Donovan, Lilly, Dominic, Aiden, Kai, Eleanor, Morgan, and Fearne. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, and her granddaughter, Amanda.

Known to most as “Nurse Gran”, she served dutifully for 26+ years at Kimble Hospital as an LVN. Her kindness and compassion touched countless lives in Kimble County. Gran was a lover of cats and birds and manicured lawns, and could often be found on top of her riding lawnmower.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, April 3rd, 2026, at Kimble Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Myers officiating; interment will follow at Junction City Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Junction Men's Bible Class, PO Box 802, Junction, TX 76849.

Gran will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
