Judy Raley

Judy Gwen (Johnson) Raley, 75, of Junction, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on October 30, 2026, surrounded by those she loved most.

Judy was born on December 30, 1950, in Kenedy, Texas, to Aubrey and Betty Johnson. She spent the majority of her life in Junction, Texas, where she built a lifetime of memories. She was a proud member of the Junction High School Class of 1969. Judy had a special love for the restaurant industry, spending many years working alongside her family at their family-owned businesses, The Milky Way and Junction Restaurant. She took great pride in the restaurants and treasured the memories, friendships, and connections made while serving the Junction community.

Judy was a fighter in every sense of the word. A woman of remarkable strength, unwavering faith, and a personality that was truly her own. She was feisty, funny, and never afraid to speak her mind. She never met a stranger, rarely missed a good conversation, and always seemed to know the latest happenings around town.

Beneath that strong-willed spirit was a heart overflowing with love for her family.

Of all the titles Judy held throughout her life, perhaps none was more cherished than Nanny. To all the grandkids, she was so much more than a grandmother. She was a guiding hand, a steady presence, and a source of unconditional love. Nanny loved fiercely, and those fortunate enough to be loved by her knew just how deeply that love ran.

Judy's Christian faith was a cornerstone of her life. She loved Jesus and held tightly to her faith through both the blessings and hardships of life. Her strength and resilience reflected the faith she carried in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Betty Johnson; her beloved husband, Olan Raley; and her daughter, Jennifer Raley, whom she loved deeply and missed every day. Her family takes comfort in the belief that Judy is now at peace in the presence of her Savior, reunited with those she longed to see again.

Judy is survived by her children, Jeanna Risinger and Clint Risinger; her siblings, Sherry Murr (Bobby), Nancy Chapman (Bill), and Chip Johnson (Billie); her grandchildren, Shelby Williamson, Lexie Ference (Patrick), Quinton Hernandez, Tanner Risinger, and Tyler Risinger; and her great-grandchildren, Haleigh Rodriguez, Hayden Hernandez, Trenton Hernandez, Atley Hernandez, Xavier Ference, Rayleigh Ference, and Eden Ference.
