Joshua Yglesias

November 15, 1983 — June 4, 2020

Joshua Yglesias

Joshua Scott Yglesias was born November 15, 1983 in Fredericksburg, Texas.  He left us on June 4, 2020 to be in heaven at the age of 36.

Josh grew up and attended Junction Schools, obtaining a GED on November 12, 2001.

As a youth he was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church where he was an altar server.  He was very bright in school, excelling in reading during his elementary years.  He was in the National Top Ten Readers in 1992.  Josh loved little league baseball.  He played 1st base, short stop, and pitcher.  He was an avid fan of the Chicago Bulls for many years.  He took piano lessons and was able to play "Moonlight Sonata" by ear.

Josh enjoyed working out, listening to music, and tattoos.  He also loved wildlife and learning about NASA and the space station.

Over the years, he worked multiple jobs.  His concern for wildlife became apparent when he was a cedar cutter.  Most recent, was his maintenance job at Dairy Queen.  He took pride in his work and performed a fantastic job.

At a very young age and throughout his life Josh was full of humor, making friends and family laugh and smile.  His friends, co-workers, and family will truly miss him.

Josh is preceded in death by his uncle, Scott Ferguson Underwood.

Survivors include his parents, Eloy and Marti Yglesias; grandparents, Martin and Jane Underwood and Bobbye Jo Welch; sisters, Jasmine Yglesias and Jessica Renae Yglesias; nephews, Jared Scott Adams and Devon Lyle Moore; nieces, Heather Marie Mercado, Brianna Barrera and Crystal Barrera; great-niece, Nevaeh Rose; great-nephew, TJ Eloy Adams; uncle, John Yglesias; aunts, Jessie Heinrichs and Dixie Dawn Maddox; and many cousins.
