Jose Serrano

Jose "Luis" Serrano, age 64, went to be with God on September 30, 2018 in Junction, Texas. Memorial services will be held on October 13, 2018 at Goodwill Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel Alvarado officiating. Burial will follow at Junction Cemetery.

Luis was born in Vicente Guerrera, Durango, Mexico to Victoriano Serrano and Carmen Vargas. He moved to Junction in 1995 and married Adriana Alvarado in 1996. He thoroughly enjoyed his work as a Rock Mason, building beautiful stone work, tile work and carpentry. His greatest joy was being surrounded by his family, cooking, playing guitar and singing praises to God.

He is survived by his wife, Adriana Serrano; his mother, Carmen Vargas; children, Jose Luis, Jr., Marisela, Gabriel, Isreal and Yesenia Serrano; brothers, Jesus and Antonio Serrano; sisters, Maria, Carmela, Lupe, Elvira and Irene Serrano; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews all of whom reside in Mexico. He is also survived by his father-in-law, Reverend Enrique Alvarado and wife Rosa Esther; brother-in-law, Ricky Alvarado and wife Maria; sister-in-law, Irene Escamilla; his beloved nieces and nephews, Ashley, Ricky Rae, Alina, Rebecka; great-nieces, Genesis and Serenity; and great-nephew, Baby "D" Daniel.

He was very much loved by his family and friends, and will be greatly missed.
