Joe Sherman

Joe Ray Sherman, 51, of Greeley, Colorado passed from this life on March 3, 2014 in Colorado. Joe was born May 9, 1962 in Ballinger, Texas to Richard and Joyce Townsend Sherman.

Joe was a native Texan who moved to Colorado more than twenty years ago, but still held on to his Texas roots and tradition. He enjoyed hunting, dancing, playing guitar, and singing. He loved to help, laugh, and joke, and had a passion for making others happy. He was hardworking, dependable, and spoke highly of his job and coworkers at Now or Never Trucking in Greeley, Colorado. Joe was a protective and good brother, and cherished his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Joe was preceded in death by his father grandparents, Mr. Mrs. Ray Townsend and uncle, Johnny Townsend.

Those left to honor his memory include his mother, Joyce Sherman of Junction children, Joe Ray Sherman, Jr. of Borger, Chrystal Kerbo and fianc, Matt Garza of Pampa, Anthony Sherman of New Mexico, and Shane Sherman of Dallas ten grandchildren brother, Jerry Clay Sherman and wife Alicia of Corpus Christi three sisters, Donna Jean Sherman of San Antonio, Sabrina Elaine Menchaca and husband Vince of Del Rio, and Sherry Tinney and husband Ralph of Junction along with a host of friends, coworkers, and other relatives.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the Junction City Cemetery with Randy Dean officiating. No visitation is scheduled.
