Jean Blaylock

Jean Blaylock, 86, of Junction, Texas passed from this life on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at her home.  She was born on July 7, 1935 to parents, C.C. and Ruby (Jinkins) Chessher.

Jean spent the early part of her childhood in Groverton, Texas before her family moved to Junction when she was twelve.  When Jean’s mother passed, she moved to Beaumont to live with her uncle, where she attended Beaumont High School.  Upon graduation, Jean attended and graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.  She then moved to New York City and Denver before finding her way back to San Antonio, where she worked for the Chapel of Trinity University.  At the Chapel of Trinity University, she coordinated over a thousand weddings.  After leaving there, she worked for numerous companies throughout Texas before deciding it was time to come back home to Junction.  In Junction, she was first a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and ended at First Presbyterian Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include son, Bill Blaylock; sister, Sue Tengg and husband, Tomas; along with numerous cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at First Presbyterian Church of Junction.
