Junction Jamie Dunbar Brite, 75, of Telegraph, Texas passed from this life at her home on Thursday, October 21, 2010.

Born February 28, 1935, she was the daughter of James B. and Ella A. Henderson Dunbar. She had been a longtime resident of Telegraph.

Jamie graduated from Manteca High School in Manteca, California and then furthered her education in San Angelo, Texas by completing nursing school. She was well known throughout the community for her nursing skills and served many years as the night supervisor at the Junction Hospital.

After the passing of her husband, Stanley Brite, she filled his position as Post Master of the Telegraph, Texas post office. She retained that position until her retirement. She also owned and operated the Telegraph Store for many years. Jamie was a faithful member of the Order of Eastern Star in Junction.

She is predeceased by her parents and her husband.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her daughter, Denise Rene Brite cousins, Nezlee Dunbar Barton and husband, Douglas E. and William L. Dunbar and wife Faye along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors.

There will be no formal visitation.

A celebration of her life will be held in the Chapel of Kimble Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 10 AM with the Rev. Jackson Boyett officiating. Interment will follow at Junction Cemetery.
