Junction Howard M. Brown, 88, of Junction, TX, a longtime Kimble County resident, passed from this life on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Hill Country Care Center in Junction, TX.

Howard was born on February 23, 1924 in Voca, Texas to Joe Calvin Brown and Minnie Worsham Brown.

Howard served in the United States Navy during World War II and then married Opal Pearl on September 27, 1946 in Junction, TX. During the next thirteen years they lived in Kermit, Texas and Carlsbad, New Mexico, but moved back to Junction in 1959 when they purchased the M N Drive Inn. Over the next thirty years, the couple operated many restaurants in Junction and was well known for their good food and friendly service.

Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Brown, son James Brown, parents Joe and Minnie Brown, brother Glenn Brown, and sisters Gladys Baumstimler, Jo Allie Castleman and Louise Lee.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his daughter, Deborah Brown, son Steven R. Brown and wife Peggy and her two sons Cade Taylor and Collin Taylor, grandson Travis Brown and wife Mikayla, granddaughter Mystle Brown and greatgranddaughter Faith Schu along with many nieces and nephews and host of loving friends and neighbors.

ation will be held Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Kimble Funeral Home from
68PM.
Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 2PM at Junction City Cemetery with Justin Hall, Pastor of College St. Church of Christ, and Rev. Jim Barker of the First Presbyterian Church of Junction officiating.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the Kimble County Senior Center, or the charity of ones choice.
