George Byars

George William Byars, 72, of Junction, Texas passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at his residence.

George was born on September 3, 1946 to Mary Nell Rose and Eldon Carter Byars in Roscoe, Texas. He graduated from Richfield High School in Waco and earned multiple degrees from the University of Texas in Austin. George retired from Saudi Aramco and enjoyed the remainder of his life in Junction, Texas with his wife, Betty (BJ), and their beloved dog, Maggie.

George was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jim Byars.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Betty Byars; brother, Colin Byars; sisters-in-law, Laureen Byars and Georgean Byars; nieces; nephews; great-nephews and many friends.

George was loved and will be missed by many.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the Junction City Cemetery with Rev. Sheree Harris officiating.

Honorary pallbearers are Greer Kothmann, David & Marc Dobbins, Ann Lemon, Bobby & Nancy Neil, Gloria Maples, Kenneth & Jan Alexander, Larry & Sarah Harrison, Carla Spracio and Kitty Alsip.
