Frank Gass

Frank Edward Gass, 57, of Telegraph, Texas, passed from this life on Monday, February 18, 2013. He was born on December 29, 1955, to Samuel Acie Gass, Sr. and Marjorie Flowers Gass. When Frank went home from the hospital his name was Baby Boy Gass, due to the fact that his parents had not picked out a name for him. This was understandable, being he was the 10th child out of 11.

Frank was a roofer, painter, and for the last 23 years, he worked at Little Paint Ranch. He had a heart of gold and love for many. He was an outstanding father, brother and son and an amazing man. He will be remembered for his involvement in baseball and softball. When he was not playing, he was coaching or umpiring for the kids. No child was ever left out. He was well known for helping to pay for a child to play or even putting them on his team, when no one else would. Frank also loved to watch his Eagles play football. He could always be seen down at the fence cheering them on. He was a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan. You definitely did not get between him and the television when they were playing.

Frank will be greatly missed by many. He was preceded in death by his father, Ace Gass brother, Butch sister, Aubrey Jane and brotherinlaw, Joel Taylor. He is survived by his mother, Marjorie Gass beloved daughters, Kaci Choate and husband, David Kari Gass and George Fernandez and the love of his life, granddaughter, Adilyn Choate. He is also survived by brothers, Sammy Gass and wife, Kathy, Jimmy Gass and wife, Patricia, and Johnny Gass and sisters, Elsie Cravey, Mary Bluemel and husband, Frank, Donna Carroll and husband, LV, Alene Taylor and Kay Sissel and by many, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the Junction Cemetery. The services will be conducted by very close friend Pat Graham and nephewinlaw Josh Cantrell and have been entrusted to Kimble Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Junction Youth Baseball or to the Junction Athletics Department at Junction ISD.
