Eunice Dayton

Eunice Brewer Dayton, 100, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 26, 2015. She was born April 10, 1914 to Amos and Lelia (Mogford) Brewer in the Erna Community.
Eunice grew up in the London area, and married the love of her life, Jack C. Dayton on October 4, 1931 in Art, Texas. She was the Postmaster in London for 30 years, a homemaker, and she and Jack had an oil and grocery company. Eunice was a world traveler, was very adventurous, and enjoyed gardening and games of all kinds. She was a member of the London United Methodist Church for 80 years and served in many ways including teaching Sunday school and playing the piano. Eunice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers, Garland Brewer and Cotton Brewer, and sister, Martha Lay.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her son, Edmond F. Dayton and wife Irene of Junction; daughter, Alice Cardwell and husband Dudley of London; grandchildren, Cindy and Ronnie Kramer, Jayme and Suzanne Cardwell, Christy and Rick Curry, Denise and Paul Krieger, Janet Cardwell Davis; great-grandchildren, Stacey Jenschke, Kody Krieger, Patrick Krieger, Cameron Krieger, Jordan Davis, Megan Davis, Ayme Zantua, and Brian Cardwell; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Monday, March 2, 2015 at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Bradford officiating. Interment will follow in the London Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Kimble Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Bill Hight, Lem Loeffler, Ed Weber, Bill Johnson, Jerry Johnson, and Roy Kramer.

Memorials may be made to Kimble County Meals on Wheels or to the London United Methodist Church.
