E.J. Whitlock, Jr.

E.J. “Buck” Whitlock, Jr., 76, of Junction, Texas passed from this life on May 28, 2025 at a care facility in Menard.

Buck was born February 14, 1949 in Fredericksburg, to E.J. Whitlock, Sr. and Cleo Cox. As a child, his family moved around a lot. As a young man, he worked odd jobs, but once he received his driver’s license, he started driving a truck. He drove for various transport companies until he retired in 2017. He married Sheila Mires on June 11, 1994 in Kentucky.

Buck is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Gwen McDonald and Wanda Fowler; niece, Becky Mouser; and nephew, Bobby Whitlock, Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Shelia Whitlock; son, Corey Whitlock his wife Martha, and their children, Amelia, Charlotte, and Carl of Colorado Springs, CO; son, Ethan Whitlock of Junction; daughter, Mikayla Whitlock of Junction; step-daughter, Karen Coursey her husband Billy, and their children, Zaine, Jaxton, Brice, Braydon, and Billy Jr. of Junction; sister, Fay Mouser of Cottageville, SC; two brothers, Leonard Whitlock and Bobby Whitlock of Junction; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Memorial services will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel with Clint McDonald officiating.
