Edward Monroe Doss

Edward Monroe Doss, 91, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023 at Audie Murphy VA Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. and funeral services will be on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.; both will be at Kimble Funeral Home in Junction, Texas. Burial will follow at Junction City Cemetery.

Ed was born in Junction on February 28, 1932, to Bertie Merle Brown Doss and Walter Turner Doss. Ed joined the Navy during the Korean War. He returned home and started his career with Oil Transport, progressing to own an oil field construction company. Ed then followed his passion for driving for various companies. After retirement, Ed followed his interest in educating others in gun safety as the Regional Director for Central Texas for the Texas State Rifle Association.

Preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Arthur; five sisters, Luella, Mary, Geneva, Gertrude, and Velma; and one granddaughter, Tamara Lynn.

Survivors include one brother, Damon Daniel Doss. He is survived by his children, Dolores Denise, Dennis Roy, Daniel Ray, Donald Wayne, and Samantha D’Ann; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
