Junction Edith Carlina Bruce Burt, 90, of Junction, passed from this life on February 25, 2011 at a local hospital.

Born in Burnett County, TX on January 18, 1921, she was the daughter of Louis and Paulina Self Bruce.

In 1952, she married Hilton Burt, a union that would last many years, until his passing.

Edith was a loving wife, mother and caregiver.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Junction and was a faithful Bible reader. She loved to pray for people and if she met you once, you were always in her prayers.

Edith loved Cheetos and Big Red, her secret to a long life.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Hilton Burt, her parents, a daughter, Carla McConnell, a son, Samuel Lee Holland, her sister, Helen Broyles and her two brothers, Billy L. Bruce and Gordon C. Bruce.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her grandson, Billy James Holland of Wasillia, Alaska her granddaughter, Sammie Jo Wilson of Palmer, Alaska great grandchildren a brother, Sammie Bruce and many nieces, nephews and friends.

ation will be held at Kimble Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 from 23PM with a service following at 3PM. Committal services will take place at Junction City Cemetery.

Honorary Pallbearers are James Bruce, James D. Broyles, Lance Schults, Bruce Schultz, Dakyrii Schultz, Clinton James, Colby James and Brandon Smith.
