Rosanky, TX Dwane quotRedquot Davis, 62, went to join our Lord on Thursday, September 16, from his home in Rosanky, Texas. He was born on July 3, 1948, to Richard and LaVerne Eckert Davis and was raised in Kimble County.

He was a graduate of Junction High School and continued his education at Angelo State University. Red went to serve his country in Vietnam. After returning home, he worked the oil fields of West Texas was a superintendent for McKinney Drilling in Buda for the last 18 years.

He is survived by one son, Marshall Davis three brothers, Lynn Davis, Billy Davis and Mike Davis and numerous other relatives. Red was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Larry and Kenneth Davis and one sister, Bonnie Sue Davis.

Graveside services were held at Gentry Creek Cemetery on Wednesday, September 22, at 10 a.m., with Dwight Davis officiating. Pallbearers were Eddy Pfiester, Hollis Phillips, John Evans, Steve Kelly and Dana and Ronnie Musgrove.

Red will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. Etched in our memories are his kind eyes, beautiful smile and sharp wit. Rest in peace, dad, brother and friend.
