Doris Gehle

JUNCTION Doris M. quot Vanquot Gehle, 83, of Junction, Texas passed from this life on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at her residence. She was born May 16, 1927 in Redlands, CA to parents, Garrett and Gladys Bruce Van Vliet.

She met and later married the love of her life, Richard Lee Gehle on December 17, 1946 in La Canada, CA. She was a Homemaker, and the two raised their family together, whom she cherished very dearly. Richard passed before her in December 2005.

Mrs. Gehle loved many things, although there were a few things that stood out more than others. She could immerse herself in a good mystery book like no other. She loved to Bowl, enjoyed her garden, and truly enjoyed Texas Ranger Baseball.

She was a wonderful artist, often showing in her paintings the love that she had for Texas. She also enjoyed traveling the world with her husband while he spent many years in the United States Air Force.

She is survived by her 5 daughters, Belinda Brantley, Sue Stewart, Lisa Flanagan, Jody Kollaja, and Laura Fly 8 grandchildren 14 greatgrandchildren, along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

There will be Private Family Services at a later date.

The family suggest memorial donations be made to ones favorite charity.
