David Salinas Rodriguez, 78, of London, Texas passed from this life on February 21, 2017 at a hospital in San Angelo.

David was born April 23, 1938 to Henry and Gripina Salinas Rodriguez in Mason, Texas; he also grew up in Mason. He married the love of his life, Lupe Ramon Rodriguez, on July 11, 1959 in Ft. McKavett. After they were married they moved to London where he sheared sheep. In 1963, David went to work for Dayton Oil Company as a truck driver. When Dayton oil sold he continued on with Croft Petroleum then to MK Gas until his need to take a medical retirement. On the side, David did extra jobs such as mowing and he was a caretaker for the London Cemetery. After a hard day's work, David still made time for his family and loved to take his children and grandchildren swimming and fishing.

David is preceded in death by his parents, and daughters, Josie Howell and Juliet White.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Lupe; daughter, Jill Martinez and husband Edmundo; grandchildren, Asia and Trey Happner, Nick Gonzales and Alicia Vargas, Jessica and Aric Salamanca, David and Tami Alvarado, Andrew and April Martinez, Stephanie Gonzales and JW Pearl, James and Christine White, Kristina and Ben Stedronsky; twenty-two great-grandchildren; two sisters; four brothers; and a host of other family members and friends.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, February 24, 2017 at the London Cemetery with Rev. Frankie Enloe officiating.
