Cora McCullough

Cora Mae Talk McCullough, 89, of Junction passed away on November 25, 2015. She was the eldest of 13 children born to Milam and Lillie Talk. Cora Mae was born in Woodard, LaSalle County, Texas on November 19, 1926. She married F.R. "Mack" McCullough on November 7, 1943; he passed away on September 16, 1986.

Mack had four children: Roy Dean, Phyllis, Alan Dale, and Donnie Lee. Then Mack and Cora Mae had six children: Melvin Douglas, Frances Ann, Ella Jane, Polly Mae, Tommie Lewis, and Ollie Ray. Cora Mae was a homemaker and helped Mack in his Junction Auto Salvage business. She also worked as a waitress at Isaaks Restaurant for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and had been a volunteer at Vistacare Hospice.

Cora Mae is preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, her husband, and four children, Alan Dale McCullough, Donnie Lee McCullough; Melvin Douglas McCullough and Ella Jane McCullough; two grandchildren, April and Natalie; and one great-grandchild, Leah.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Roy Dean McCullough and wife Sandra, Phyllis Caudle of Cotulla, Frances Ann Sherrod of Von Ormy, Polly Mae Nagle of Waco, Tommy McCullough and wife Christi of Muskogee, OK, and Ollie Ray McCullough of Junction; grandchildren, Connie , Janna, Roy Jr., John Jr., Cheryl, Angela, David, Michelle, Dale, Chris, Jennifer, Kim, Douglas, Tami, Todd and Patty; siblings, Dorothy, Mary Ann, Joe, Milam, Margaret and Wayne; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 29, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Junction with Clayton Garmon officiating.
