JUNCTION Charlotte Reine Murr passed away in Junction on November 21, 2012, at the age of 90. She was born on June 27, 1922, in Rombas, France. She was preceded in death by her husband of over fifty years, Alton D. Murr.
Charlotte moved to Junction during the late 1950s and has made her home there ever since. In addition to raising her family and helping with a family business, she was very proud to have worked as a nurse for many years in Junction. In her later years, she received a great deal of pleasure when greeted by former patients, including many who would stop and reminisce with her.
When asked, she would also speak of her time of living and training to be a nurse in France and North Africa during World War II, including being imprisoned by the Germans. She always appreciated the blessings of living in the United States and was very proud when she became a citizen.
She greatly missed her husband, who passed away in 2010, and talked often of joining him in everlasting rest.
A private family Graveside Service was held at the Junction City Cemetery.
Charlotte is survived by two sons, James, who resides in Junction and John, a resident of Bedford six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
