Charles Brooks

Charles Lynn Brooks, 62, of San Angelo, passed from this life on September 11, 2018 at a hospital in San Antonio.

Charles Lynn Brooks was born October 28, 1955 to Charles Henry and Leah Louise Lee Brooks in San Angelo. Lynn graduated from San Angelo Central in 1974 where he was a student manager for the football team. He continued his education at Angelo State where he graduated with a degree in Management in 1979. He worked for Concho Council of Government for several years until his health failed.
Lynn was an avid sports fan and sports historian - especially Texas Aggie Football. It was not unusual for him to watch a game on the TV, listen to another on the radio at the same time, and know everything that was happening on both. Brooks you will be missed by us all. You fought the good fight, you finished the race, you have kept the faith. Now there is in store for you the crown of righteousness.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to honor his memory include his sister, Janie Boykin of Vernon and her children, Mark Boykin and wife Sondra of Lawton, OK, and their son Brice, Randy Boykin of Dallas, Shelly Greer and husband Russel of Carrollton; brother, Dr. Larry Brooks and wife Diana of Junction, their sons, Bud Brooks of Houston, Craig Brooks and wife Jill of Junction, and their children, Caitly and Madi of Junction; Cole Brooks and wife Katy of Burleson and their children, Lillian and June of Burleson; Colby Brooks and wife Sherrie of San Antonio and their children, Richard and Dean of San Antonio. Also, his friends at Senior Care that took such great care of him these last few years; his many friends at Johnson Street Church of Christ; and his two best friends, Jeral Holland and Butch Baker.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo with Tommy King officiating. Visitation will be held 10:00 AM -12:00 PM, Saturday at Johnson Street Church of Christ in San Angelo.

Pallbearers will be Bud Brooks, Craig Brooks, Cole Brooks, Colby Brooks, Randy Boykin, Jeral Holland, and Butch Baker.
