Boyd Eardley

Boyd Bernard Eardley, 88, went to be with our Lord, Thursday, March 3, 2016.

Boyd was born August 5, 1927 to William Harold and Mary Belle Eardley in Carrizo Springs.

Boyd married Dorothy Ruth Wedding on August 31, 1946 in Eagle Pass, Texas. Boyd was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He worked on several ranches and retired from USDA after many years, first with "Hoof and Mouth" Program and as a "River Rider" with the Fever Tick Program.

Boyd is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; his sister, Mary Barber; and brother, Wilburn Eardley.

Boyd is survived by a daughter, Sheryl Newton and husband David of Ft. McKavett; daughter, Peggy Eardley of Junction; grandson, Dustin Newton of San Angelo; granddaughter, Sarah Fusig and husband Bill of Alvin; four great-grandchildren, Addie, Daigan, Zoe and Dutch. Also surviving are three sisters, Rowena Adkins of San Antonio, Marjorie Harrel of Kingsville, Dorothy Tollet and husband "Skeeter" of Carrizo Springs and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 6-8:00 PM, Friday, March 4, 2016 at Kimble Funeral Home in Junction.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, March 7, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Carrizo Springs, Texas. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Carrizo Springs, Texas.
