Billy Lee " Dooker" Ragsdale, 81, lifelong resident of Junction, passed from this life March 6, 2019 at his residence.

Dooker was born June 5, 1937 to George Calloway and Eva Josephine (Goodall) Ragsdale. He was a hard worker, who owned and operated the Fina Station in Junction for many years before working 15+ years at the West Bear Creek General Store. Dooker was a talented rock layer, and laid all the rock around his house that was brought to his home from Bennett Hill. He was an avid fisherman, and once caught a 70lb catfish in our local waters. Dooker was a lifetime member of the Methodist church.
Dooker is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Bennett Ragsdale.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife of 38 years, Peggy D. Ragsdale; step-sons, Robert Darnell of San Antonio and Michael Darnell of Florida; seven grandchildren; brother, Bob Ragsdale and wife Reba of Bryan; sister-in-law, Sue Ragsdale of Voss; brother-in-law, Rick Smith and wife Debra; nieces, Sha Ragsdale and husband Johnny, Cathy Chitwood, Cheryl Fickey and husband James; nephew, Jim Bob Ragsdale; numerous great-nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jim Barker and Charles Hagood officiating. Interment will follow at Copperas Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 5-7:00 PM, Friday at Kimble Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Bannowsky, Jimmy Bannowsky, Tom Johnston, Ford Johnston, Kincaid Johnston, Jay Williams, and Josh Cantrell. Honorary pallbearer will be Millard "Onie" Bennett.
