Billy Bob "Bobby" Barker, 78, of San Antonio passed from this life on January 20, 2020 at a hospital in San Antonio.
Bobby was born June 30, 1941 to Joel Alvin and Laura Shelby Posey Barker in Brady. He grew up and attended schools in Junction. He worked various jobs throughout his life, mostly in San Antonio: Borden's Milk, Office Depot, and most recently Babies R Us. Bobby's greatest love was studying and quoting the Bible. He was also a huge fan of legendary country artist, Jimmy Rodgers. Bobby loved making up jingles for different companies and products, and would sing them to whoever would listen.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dorothy Nell Phillips; brothers, Curtis Barker, Clovis Barker, Leon Barker, and James Barker; nephews, Marcus Barker, Rocky Barker, and Danny Barker.
Survivors include his very special friend, Angie Salazar; brother, Joe Barker and wife Norma; daughter, Sheila Dodgen; nieces, Janice Stockton and Pat Parks; nephews, Clovis Ray Barker, Larry Barker, Joe Carl Barker, Jerry Barker, Tim Barker, Monty Barker, Steve Phillips, Scott Phillips; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 10:00 AM, Monday, January 27, 2020 at Kimble Funeral Home with a graveside service immediately following at Junction City Cemetery at 11:30AM with Charles Hagood officiating.
