Benjamin Gonzales

Benjamin P. Gonzales, 54, loving husband and father went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 17, 2013.

Ben was born October 9, 1958 in Junction, Texas to Arnulfo and Noemi Gonzales. Ben received his bachelors degree at Wayland Baptist University and his Masters degree from the University of Oklahoma. He served his country in the US Air Force and retired after twentyone years. Ben was employed at the Texas Veterans Commission in San Antonio which he considers all his extended family. He was passionate about his sports, especially the Sooners and Cowboys, and he loved boxing. Ben was known for his practical jokes and love for his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Roxie Gonzales son, Drew Gonzales and wife Rebecca daughter, Candace Cornell and husband Danny three grandchildren, McKenzie Cornell, Mason Cornell, and Aydin Girela two brothers, Danny Gonzales and Arnie Gonzales and wife Carmen sister, Edwina Blie and husband Tom Aunt, Sara Salinas nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, February 22, 2013 at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Reuben Gonzales of Canyon Lake officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at N.E. Junction Cemetery.
The Family suggests memorials be made to the Kimble County Meals on Wheels.
