Junction Arturo Barragan Jr., 55, also known to friends and family as quotArtquot went to be with his Lord and Savior, on December 7, 2010. Art was born on September 8, 1955, in Van Horn, TX. to Arturo Sr. and Guadalupe Barragan.

Art was a loving, hardworking individual with a wonderful sense of humor. Art loved to play golf, and spent most of his time at the Junction Golf Course. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to honor and cherish his memories are his wife, Paula Barragan of Junction son, Arturo Barragan III of Carlsbad, N.M. daughter, Melinda Carrillo of Carlsbad, N.M. daughter, Lourdes Barragan of Killeen stepsons, Aldofo Ponce and wife Marcella and Ivan Ponce of Junction, Sergio Ponce of Stephenville sister, Bessie Maples and husband Mark of Junction brother, Albert Barragan and wife Mia of Van Horn and sister, Margaret Barragan of California. Art leaves behind numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7 PM, Wednesday, December 8, 2010, in the Chapel of Kimble Funeral Home, 1010 College Street, Junction, TX. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 AM, Thursday, December 9, 2010 at St. Theresas Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Little Mexico Cemetery, Junction, TX.

Serving as pallbearers will be Greg and Cole Lawler, Clay Armes, Bobby Adams, Charles Haygood, and Don Baugh. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Broyles, Vicente Menchaca, Kenny Smart Oscar Menchaca, Jose Salinas, Martin Mendez, Juan Gueterrez and all the members of the Junction Golf Association.

In lieu of floral tributes, memorial donations may be sent in Arts name to the Junction Golf Association.
