Artemisa Lozano

Maria Artemisa Lozano, 82, of Junction, TX passed away on January 28, 2023 at a hospital in San Antonio.

Artemisa was born January 29, 1940 to Ramon Escandon and Ramona Erives Escandon in Chihuahua, Mexico; she grew up in Nuevo Casas Grandes Chihuahua.  She married Lorenzo Lozano in Chihuahua, Mexico; and soon after moved to Junction.

Artemisa was the owner of La Familia Restaurant in Junction for 37 years; her restaurant was her pride and joy.  She was an active member of the community, and loved all of her customers. She attended meetings at the Kingdom Hall as she was a Jehovah’s Witness.  Artemisa was a very loving, and generous woman.  Her presence will be missed.

Artemisa is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sister, Dora Baldovino; and sister, Concepcion Mendez.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Ignacia Arroyos; brother, Manuel Escandon and wife Estela; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Memorial services to honor Artemisa will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel.
