Junction Antonio P. Sanchez, 66, of Junction, TX was called home on Friday, July 20, 2012 at Hill Country Care Center. He was born to Salavador and Apolonia quotPerezquot Sanchez on January 7, 1946 in Junction, TX.

Antonio was the fourth of eight children born to his parents. Antonio was very active in school where he participated in football, track and FFA until he graduated in 1965. Antonio worked as a sheep shearer until he Joined the United States Army where he served his country as a Paratrooper with the 82 Airborne from 19651967, Antonio was a Vietnam Veteran.

Antonio married the love of his life Irene Dominquez on June 8, 1968 at St. Theresas Catholic Church in Junction, TX. Antonio was a loving and caring husband, father and papa. He loved to talk to people wherever he was at the time and loved working on automobiles and took pride in gardening growing fruit trees and raising animals. After the birth of Antonios first child Melissa in 1969, the family moved to San Bernadino, CA. Antonio retired after twentysix years from Southern California Edison Electric Company. After receiving, his AA from San Bernadino Valley College Antonio spent a year At CalPoly Pomona when his second child Sebastian came along. Antonio coached little league baseball for ten years and one year Jr. all American football.

He is preceded in death by his parents Salvador and Apolonia quotPerezquot Sanchez and a brother Charles Edward Sanchez.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Irene Sanchez daughter Melissa Sanchez son Sebastian Sanchez and wife Carla, and two grandchildren Carla Lydia and Antonio Lucio Sanchez, Antonio had four sisters and two brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Holy Rosary will be recited and a ation is scheduled for Monday, July 23, 2012 from 68PM at Kimble Funeral Home in Junction, TX. A Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 10AM at St. Theresas Catholic Church in Junction, TX with Father Knick Knickerbocker Officiating. Interment will follow at Northeast Junction Cemetery.
